IMG_9771.jpg

HPC Classics was born out of three peoples passion for the world of sports cars and racing. We each share a unique insight into the automotive industry and what it means to own and maintain high end specialist vehicles. Together we aim to combine our experience and expertise to deliver a bespoke package of services including car sales, servicing and repairs, full restorations, race car building, maintenance and track support.

Building lasting relationships with customers based on transparency and great communication is fundamental to our company ethos.

Our goal is to always offer cars that are of interest to us, cars that we would have in our own garage and thoroughly enjoy driving.

MEET THE TEAM

CHRIS PHIPPS

DIRECTOR & PROJECT MANAGER

Chris always had a passion for cars since a young age, watching the battles of formula one in the ’90s would be the spark to a 10-year career in motorsport. Starting out on the formula BMW championship in 2010 and moving on in subsequent years to cover formula Renault 2.0, World Series by Renault, F3 Americas, Indy lights, indy car and finally working for Mclaren in their heritage department preparing and testing past formula one cars.

Add to that list a significant four-year stint at world-renowned CKL developments building and maintaining the best jaguar had to offer from the ’50s and ’60s. All this experience and training has given him a keen eye for detail and very high working practises which are fundamental to any high-quality restoration or track car preparation.

MILES HARDY

SALES DIRECTOR

Cars have been an integral part of Miles' life ever since he can remember. Every toy was a car, tractor, motorbike. It had to have an engine.

When he got to the ripe old age of 4 he helped his grandad rebuild the headset on his Norton Commando, in his shed after school. Ever since he was hooked on mechanics and figuring out how things worked. Moreover, how to make them work better.

Skip forward a few years and at the age of 23, he bought his first classic. Instantly in love, he ended up with 3 at once, a BMW e28 (1986 & daily driven), e3 (1971) and a little Austin Healey Sprite Mk2 (1961). The e28 he handed to his best friend Chris.

They had always said that with their passion for, and background in, cars that they would do it together one day. Now they are both here, best friends, indulging in their passion. Selling, preparing, restoring and caring for the best cars on the road.

All classics have a story. They have a soul and you can’t imitate that. But if you’re anything like Miles, you can love it!

FRANÇOIS CALVINO

OPERATIONS DIRECTOR

Chris and François began their journey when they travelled together to inspect a classic Lancia in Amsterdam. Following the successful trip, they immediately realised the passion was there to start HPC Classics.

François' first car was purchased before he even had his licence. It was a Porsche 914 from San Francisco which he shipped to his home in the south of France. This car was his "pride and joy" and thereafter his love affair with cars began.

After growing and selling numerous businesses François was finally in a position to team up with Chris and Miles and turn his passion into a business. François brings to HPC Classics the operational experience needed to successfully run a business and support Chris and Miles in their projects.
