HPC Classics are honoured to offer for sale one of only 94 2002 Baur Convertibles that were ever imported to the U.K. This isn’t just any 2002 though, this particular car has been owned by one of our local customers for some time, having had no stone unturned in our workshop, meaning that it doesn’t just present nicely, it drives incredibly. Everything down to the touch points have received upgrades and therefore I’d wager this will be one of the most complete and best driving classic BMWs on offer in the U.K. today.
The paintwork is in very ice order throughout; with the odd blemish you can forgive because of how it drives (you’re likely to want to collect more stone chips we think)! The brightwork is in nice order (the sill trims are included if someone wants them fitted), the interior really is fantastic, with no cigarette burns and wear to the seats at all, a wonderful & comfortable place to be, with the added sportiness coming from the Momo Prototipo steering wheel, Irelan Engineering Throttle pedal and the additional oil temp and pressure gauges fitted by us to monitor the freshly rebuilt engine.
On the score you have 121bhp on tap, a fair jump from the standard 99! A full rebuilt was carried out in our workshop, with suspension and brakes to match, you have 4 pot callipers up front, fully rebuilt subframes and Bilstein suspension upgrades too. On the road the car handles with such ease, pulls strongly and stops on a dime. Classic motoring, in the 21st century, it’ll surprise a lot of modern cars, that’s for sure!
The car has two sets of wheels too, so you can put it back on the more road BMW going alloys it was seen on when it was a magazine cover star. It really is the full package. Rare, quick, comfy, practical and fun, not many classics can offer that!

Having received what is in essence a full restoration over the course of a few years, this 2002 has more power, better brakes, better suspension, two sets of wheels, better interior touch points and it really shows on the open road. With a fabulous and full service history from new, having had a vast amount spent in the last 5 years with us, we know the car well and can trust that it will do nothing but create smiles for the new owner.
