Description
DESCRIPTION:
This speed six Cerbera is the ideal candidate for a body off restoration. The car has been in dry storage for two years and needs an element of recommissioning hence the lower than average asking price.
HISTORY:
With only 3 former keepers on the logbook, it has been in long term ownership throughout its life. Still wearing its original front and rear ends, it is satisfying to know that it hasn’t had any nasty offs!
It has its original Meta alarm code card with it and an HPI certificate from 2003, showing nothing untoward at that date.
There is a fair sum of its history in the file, the highlights being as below:
Service stamps in the book:
PDI – 105 miles
1st – 1,052 miles
2nd – 6,467 miles
3rd – 10,660 miles
4th – 16,513 miles
5th – 21,540 miles
The car had a new screen in 2002, a new radiator in 2003, along with a reconditioned gearbox and new clutch with its 24k service at 21,540 miles. Gaz gold shocks and springs in September 2005 and the last bill is in 2015 when the car had £1,700.00 spent on a general overhaul to get it back on the road. It was used sparingly and then tucked back away in storage after that. There are lots of other receipts for odd parts and jobs carried out included, along with two bills of sale, from both the second and third owners.
UPDATE: We now have the car running and on first impressions the speed six engine sounds very quiet and healthy. It fired up first time with a clean tank, new fuel, new pump, filter and lines.
Technical specification
You could potentially prep the car for an MOT without a body off restoration and or new outriggers if so desired, however we would recommend the following before hitting the open road.
1) Interior refresh
2) Body off & outriggers replacing
3) New fuel pump and lines
4) Brake overhaul
5) New bushes throughout
6) New diff mounts
7) New tyres
8) Full machine polish and paint correction
9) A 12k service
HPC Classics estimate the cost of the restoration to be between £10,800.00 - £12,500.00 inclusive of parts and our labour, depending on which additional components you’d like to improve or upgrade along the way. This could be substantially reduced if a budding enthusiast were to take the project on themselves at home, making this a stunning value entry to supercar ownership.
