2004 TVR Tamora

The Tamora has to be the best value sports car you can possibly buy in the world at the present time. 350bhp of Blackpool’s wildest dry sumped and ITB fed fury, within a proven spaceframe chassis, housing an LSD, hard back seats, AP racing brakes and all controlled by a proper pedal box, you physically can’t buy a better sports car for the money. Add in the rarity, the looks and the part that can’t be quantified: how it makes you feel! (Because let’s face it, you don’t buy a sports car because it is sensible, unless you’re a Porsche fan!) Once you’ve had a TVR experience with a good example, there really is no turning back and this car will do just that to you…

 

Not only does it present beautifully, PPF’d where needed and machine polished, it looks fantastic, but it drives as smooth as butter too, with razor sharp handling and throttle response. Wind the motor up and indulge yourself with the trademark TVR bark and howl, but this one is even a little better with the sports exhaust upgrade too. When you approach a corner, you can slow down just as well too, with the AP Racing brakes biting hard. You’ll never want to put it back in the garage, it is so much fun! The feel, the feedback, unlike anything else. Rev matching with the lightweight fly wheel is easy, the T5 ‘box is as smooth as silk, but rifle bolt in its precision. Nobody else has made cars like these before or since.

 

With a gigantic history file, 13 service stamps all from TVR specialists and then HPC adding the 14th with four new premium tyres and a full 12k mile service, including the all-important valve clearances by our workshop, it is on the button and ready to be enjoyed

The car left the factory in the same spec as it is today, it is all as per the spec sheet, bar the addition of Gaz Gold adjustable coil-overs and upgraded radiator and coolant hoses. It comes with the original book pack, both keys and fobs, red key code card and a stack of invoices from the right people, it ticks all of the boxes and it really is as good as it looks.

 

The car was once based in Eastbourne here with us and frequented the local meets, so it’s nice for it to come home and for the club to see it still in as nice order as it is today. It really will impress anyone who comes along to test it out.

 

With only 356 ever made and only 117 on U.K roads according to How Many Left, this is a seriously rare, pretty, fast and engaging sports car. The likes of which will never be built again.
