  • Description

TVRs are a rare sight on the roads, the Tuscan being the brands easiest to recognise, thanks to the MK1’s appearance in the films Space Jam and of course Swordfish, where the car became the true star of the show. The “MK3” continues the tradition, but with the super rare option of a full convertible, just like this car. Only a mere 35 left the factory in 2006, so these really are a special sight indeed. We say MK3 in inverted commas, as there was only a MK2 officially, but the MK3 wavy dash cars as they’re affectionately known, as revered as the best of the best. With updated suspension, better build quality and much improved final fit and finish, so these are pretty sought after machines already. Just wait until the USA knows a full soft top was available in a few years’ time…

A truly stunning car, that has clearly been loved, just from the sheer sight of it, a recent two stage machine polish and ceramic coating mean that the almost unmarked paintwork shines like that of a new car on the forecourt. Step inside the beautiful full hide mulberry interior and it is on the same level, having also had a recent refresh to bring it up to the correct standard. The wheels, tyres, brakes, lamp covers and boot are all in equally as nice condition. Under the recently converted bonnet, the engine bay is clean and well cared for. Having had a top end rebuild and an OMEX ECU, it runs and pulls as well as it looks.

On the road, the car is controlled by a big brake upgrade and Gaz Gold adjustable dampers, meaning that it rides and stops impeccably. The upgraded ECU smooths out the power from the thumping inline six, which bellows as it gets into its stride. As the revs soar towards 7,000RPM, the noise builds and you’re forced towards the horizon at an alarming rate. Only weighing in at 1,100kg, this comfortable GT car can keep up with almost any modern sports car, all whilst being better looking, sounding and having more space than any of its contemporaries. Why would you choose anything else!

  • Technical specification

With a full service history file from the day it was ordered, including the spec sheet and original invoice, this car has wanted for nothing. All of the major jobs we look out for on a Tuscan have already been completed, and by the best TVR specialists out there too. The list of upgrades comprises, but isn’t limited to:

    • Top end rebuild
    • OMEX ECU upgrade
    • Gaz gold dampers
    • Big brake upgrade
    • Bonnet conversion
    • Differential rebuilt
    • Clutch replaced

The service booklet also holds 18 stamps, to which we HPC will add the 19th, making it one service every year, a very impressive record indeed. The car will come with a 12k service and valve clearances, to ensure smooth running for the new owner.

If you’re looking for a TVR, this has to be one of the best on the market currently, especially in MK3 guise, I’d wager you won’t find one anywhere near as good.

We are open to offers and part exchanges, so don’t hesitate to pick up the phone and talk to us about this car, it won’t be here for long!
