2011 Jaguar XKR 75 Goodwood Limited Edition

An XKR makes a perfect long-distance companion at the best of times, but to commemorate Jaguar’s 75th anniversary, they went over and above in building 75 of these fantastic machines. Only 25 of which were destined to stay in the U.K. So, this is a properly rare limited edition, not just another car with different stickers on it. Having more power, an upgraded exhaust system, aero body kit, upgraded suspension and lowered ride height and an uprated differential and the 20” Vortex alloy wheels otherwise found on the XKR-S, they really made these as good as they could be.

 

It just looks right, from absolutely every angle. The colour combo, the stance, the alloys and the aero kit all help enhance its aesthetics, it looks truly stunning from wherever you’re stood. It doesn’t end there though, slip into the beautifully bedecked cabin and turn the car on, you’ll be greeted with an unmistakable Jaguar V8 rumble, it sounds like it wants to go from the moment you start it. Get moving and the small changes from the standard cars are instantly noticeable, the car is more alive, willing and has more feedback to give, which is no bad thing.

 

This spec really brings the X150 chassis alive, it wills you to press on, giving feel and feedback in places the standard cars can’t. A true wonder. To be surrounded in so much comfort, with such pace and with a very reasonable price tag & servicing costs, these big cats are a great value alternative that will keep up with & embarrass a lot more expensive metal.

 

If you’re a Jag man at heart, but don’t get on with the newer offerings out there, but want a sportier in-between the XKR and F-Type, this just HAS to be the right car to have. Also, being such limited numbers, it is a surefire bet for one of the cars that’s a safe investment for the future, as just how many more supercharged 5.0 V8’s will be built in the future – it can’t be many, so capitalise whilst they’re still reasonable!  

This beautiful example comes supplied with its original book pack and all of its documentation. Having had 13 service stamps from Jaguar and marque specialists, it has been very well cared for all of its life. In order to ensure it is up to our exacting standards here at HPC Classics & JagTechnic, the car has undergone a full inspection in our workshop and has had any potential niggle addressed, so that you know you’re getting not only an outstanding car, but an incredible example too.

 

With a service, MOT rear tie bars, Powerflex front lower arm bushes, a new front subframe all powder coated and aligned, 4 new Yokohama Advan tyres all round, the car is absolutely spot on and ready to be enjoyed. It then went onto our detailing dept. and had a two-stage machine polish, to give it the lustrous shine you see in the pictures, yes, it really does look that good in the flesh!
